The World Bank supported Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project (TNHSP) invites applications from qualified candidates for the post of Medical Officers to be posted in 6 regions, as detailed below.
The individual should be interested in travelling widely across the state.

Name of the post : Medical Officer ( Non-Communicable Diseases - NCD)
No. of posts : 6 ( Chennai -2, Coimbatore -1, Thanjavur – 1, Madurai – 1, Tirunelveli -1)
Qualification : 1. M.B.B.S from recognized university and registered in State Medical Council.
2. Post graduate qualification in Clinical Specialities / Community Medicine / Public Health
preferred
3. Experience in Clinical Intervention programs desirable
Pay : Rs. 30,000 (contract pay per month)
Age : Below 45 years
Terms : 1. Purely Contractual till September 2013.
2. Appointees are subject to transferable within the six regions noted above.
3. Travel cost will be borne by the project, apart from the contract pay.
4. The Medical Officer cannot claim any regular government appointment based
on working in this project.
