Empanelment of consultants on Health Communication for proposed State Health Communication Resource Centre (SHCRC)
Applications are invited by February 22, 2012 from individual consultants in communication for empanelment with the State Health Communication and Resource Centre (SHCRC).

About the SHCRC
The State Health Communication and Resource Centre (SHCRC) set up by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of Tamil Nadu in partnership with Tamil Nadu Health System Project is the nodal department for establishing and managing the centre in collaboration with Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society and AIDS Prevention and Control Project (APAC) of VHS supported by USAID.
SHCRC's Role
SHCRC will provide Technical Assistance to the Health departments for developing communication strategies, training manuals on communication, research tools, proto-type IEC materials, impact assessment, evaluation studies, and documentation of communication initiatives.
Empanelment of Consultants
The centre intends to empanel individual consultants with expertise in different areas of communication and develop the panels to all departments in the areas of Strategy planning, Capacity building on IEC, Development of various IEC materials, Media planning and Coordination, M&E and Communication Research, Documentation and Translation.
Application Criteria and Format
SHCRC invites applications in the prescribed template from interested individuals who have with technical expertise and experience in the above mentioned fields of activities. Only individuals who meet the criteria are encouraged to apply. Empanelment Process
A committee constituted by TNHSP will shortlist and empanel the consultants. The selected consultants will be empanelled initially for a period of three years.
